About MakeSpace Kids

MakeSpace Kids was created with one goal in mind: to give children more room to imagine, explore, and create. While playing with my grandchildren, I noticed something important about the way modern kids play. They often play alone, and the toys available today do little to encourage shared creativity or meaningful time together.

Dollhouses and playsets look charming, but their small, crowded layouts make it difficult for more than one child to participate. Larger hands and smaller hands cannot comfortably reach into the same tight spaces. Children become frustrated, and adults cannot join without disrupting the setup. Most traditional toys limit how a child can play rather than inspiring new ideas.

MakeSpace Tiles were created to change this.
Each tile offers a wide, open play surface that supports individual play and allows multiple children and adults to participate simultaneously. Children can spread out their toys, build large scenes, and create stories that move from one area to another. Play no longer has to stay in a single room or on a single piece of furniture.

Our tiles work on the floor, on a coffee table, on a countertop, in the car, in a hotel room, in an RV, or anywhere a child decides to set up their world. They fold easily, store neatly, and travel well. Families can link tiles together to build larger layouts, expand scenes, or create multi-child play zones.

We believe that childhood should be filled with imagination, connection, and creativity. MakeSpace Tiles help parents reduce clutter, simplify play, and give children the space they need to explore endless possibilities. What began as a personal solution for my own grandchildren has grown into a brand dedicated to helping families everywhere enjoy play that is flexible, open-ended, and meaningful.
